Painter Robot

I am working on a simulation for a school project. I have to create a robot that paints the lines on a parking lot. The problem is that I can't make the robot draw a line, stop drawing, move to another location, and then start drawing again. I tried everything I could think of, but it just draws one continuous line. 

Does anyone have any solutions/suggestions?
